The flower

William Morris

These ideas are great! To link back to flowers, I'm almost obsessed with flowers and nature, some artists you may be interested to look at are Georgia o keefe, william morris, cy twombly, Bougeois...

I was thinking of going on a trip to Hauser and Wirth gallery to see a collaboration of Louise Bourgeois and Tracey emin. Their work is quite simmilar, you can tell Emin is inspired by Bourgeois and it would be interesting to see a collaboration and its outcome.

Guess which is which, one is Emin one is Bourgeois :)

Louise Bourgeois 'The Fabric Works' is also a great book, I find bourgeois' use of fabric and drawing very interesting and her use of the flower form. I think theres a book on her flower drawings at the whitechappel gallery, i'll try to find out.

Louise Bourgeois
I like the form of the flower because it symbolises so much, love, loss, life... and each flower has its own connotations and a story attatched.
